  • You may have many qualities, but certainly one that you did not master is patience.
To withstand a feeling for so long is an ability that you yearn to domain. you feel homesick sometimes, not because the literal meaning of the word, but because you miss how things were once. You still do, and you certainly don’t need a reason, nor a pep-talk to keep you away from that feeling.
You miss things, I bet you do. You miss the old times, who doesn’t? when you were just a kid and the future was the least of your problems. Where love was a thing you only feel for your mother and your father (and probably those childish crushes during kindergarden), and a broken heart was such a rare concept for you.
Toys and gimmicks were your shelter, and you felt like you were a king in a kingdom full of loyal companions, such as teddybears, plastic soldiers, dolls, cars and pieces of puzzle, marching on their own pace.
Nowadays you miss all that, for you’ve grown up. Nowadays you might find your shelter scattered all over the place, having certain moments of joy just for you. Along with your loyal companions, which are your friends, you find peace. For just a second, you’re in your kingdom. You’re just like the good old days.
Now you just need to build up that patience you’re always babbling about. Things are going to move on your way, you just have to wait. Another concept you’re not familiar with, waiting. Just bear in mind…
…don’t miss the rainforest for the twigs.
Carpe Diem, remember that, silly boy.
